Paris, First Class, International

Now that i have discussed with my boss, i can now talk about my news with the world.

Whilst i was in UK, i had an interview, and was successful. I have been accepted as Cabin Crew, for Virgin Atlantic. OH MY GOD!!! I'm going to be a flight attendant!!

sad but true, i have wanted to be a flight attendant since i was 4 years old, and never actually did anything about it.
(how gay can you get, i mean really, thats right up there with hairdresser and florist)

Not only have i managed to score my dream job, but its with (in my humble opinion) one of the best airlines in the world. i couldnt even conceive working for another airline, as i truely believe in the product and the values that Virgin Atlantic stand for.
(no im not crawling, i already have the job, this is what i really believe)

The upshot of it all, is that i am moving to the UK at the beginning of Oct 2007 !!!!!

My head is in such a spin at the moment. This year, not only have i landed my dream job, but also my dream partner, and now im moving to the other side of the world, to live with my ideal boyfriend and get to explore and fly the world at the same time.
i keep pinching myself to see if its all real, as i cant believe i have had all of my lifes dreams and goals fulfilled in the last 5 months.

i just have to pass the training, which is totally gruelling. 6 weeks of hell, with daily exams and with a pass mark of 88%, if you fail 3 of them youre out !
i always knew there was much more to flying than just tea, coffee, e, or me? and i was prepared prior to the interview about how much work there was ahead, but reading the manuals... .man there is so much to know. you have to know 2 aircraft back to front and all the proceedures and policies with each aircraft, plus all your aviation medicine, plus all your saftey stuff. out of the 6 week course, you only get 1 week of actual service training (ie how to searve meals) the rest is equiptment and safety and medicine. after the daily tests, at the end of 6 weeks you get the big test, then you get your wings. plus on top of this you are tested before every flight, and then have to resit a big test ev ery year. whoever says that flight attending is boring mindless robotic work.. sure has no idea what the job is about.

so im off into the wide blue yonder to fulfil my destiny ! Paris, First Class, International !!
